      Thanks for sharing the info below, Barb. Many folks in my neighborhood 
previously served at Pratt Community Education Center, Luxton Park, and Good 
Samaritan Home were very concerned. I hope they find a way to keep the only 
bookmobile in our fair city running for those folks and others with limited 
access to transportation and the libraries. The Library can count on help from all 
sorts of us who know how valuable this service has been.

      Hoping the bookmobile will resume circulation soon,

Bookmobile operations are temporarily suspended while
the library develops a comprehensive plan for Outreach
Services for 2005.  The plan will consider service
goals, staffing communities to be served, public
access to books and computers, garage space for the
bookmobile, vehicle upgrade or replacement
and service alternatives.  

Me: There will most likely be opportunities for
neighborhoods to partner with the library to keep the
bookmobile providing library access for people who
have difficulty visiting a library in a building. The
library has been successful at providing these
services for the last several years.
