all, a reminder and request to jump forward in your thoughts and let us know ASAP whether you are even considering this weekend retreat with like minded women souls around all things sustainable, especially as they relate to good agriculture and our roles to make it happen. It's a budget thing, otherwise we wouldn't ask for a nod from you so soon. Please read on and reply to any of us, with thanks, caroline.





WOMEN, FOOD, AND AGRICULTURE NETWORK'S ANNUAL FALL GATHERING - PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND AND 

LET US KNOW BY AUG. 9TH!!

 

       It may be mid-summer, but some of us are thinking about November 10, 11, & 12.

 

       The fall gathering of Women, Food, and Agriculture Network (www.wfan.org) will be held at Cedar Valley Resort in Whalen, Minn.  It is nicely situated on the Root River with opportunity for trail walking, bicycling, and skiing.  This is an awesome place, but overnight accommodations are limited.  

 

       Because of this, we are asking for tentative reservations by August 9th.  That will give Mary, Caroline and Bonnie an idea on cabin reservations, an important consideration that will make the weekend affordable for everyone. You don't have to pay anything, but having an idea of numbers will really help. And it might mean the difference between a bed and the floor come November!

 

       Current plans - still very much in the mill and happily subject to your input - are for a relaxed intellectual weekend of 2 nights, food, and fun for $99.  PLEASE let us know if you are definitely or probably planning on coming.  You may see pictures at www.cedarvalleyresort.com .
